A little about me. I’m a guitarist, keyboardist and songwriter. I started using MIDI in the very early days of the technology. Back int he 80’s when I first started out it was used for simple midi recording and playback. Today it’s evolved recording Digital audio, manipulation of audio and having thousands of quality sounds to select from for MIDI recorded tracks. 

Playlist January 2015

January ‘s playlist is a collection of upbeat songs from my collection. Writing is therapy for me, a way of relaxing and letting go of stress and losing myself in the process. Even though writing does bring its own stress and is sometimes extremely hard work, I enjoy the process of creating something from nothing.

In this collection of 8 samples, I have pulled together some of my favorites going back to one of my early releases Island Life for the song Oh yeah, up to my recent release From then until now for the song Penguin walk.

I am putting the finishing touches on a new release now that I hope you find as fun to listen too as I do. Check back here and on my Facebook page for details.

Without music, life has no soul

New video release Cruisin

Today I released a video for the song Cruisin. The song is part of the collection “Life on an endless loop” copyright 2012. The title Cruisin, came to me as I was out driving. This song takes me back to the days of cruising along (PCH) Pacific Coast Highway with the top down or going up San Gabriel Canyon Road towards Crystal Lake, hanging out and relaxing with friends. Welcome to the new site

After much debate and thought, I did it. I purchased and created this new website refort.co The old site astramusic.net will still be around and one day I will either retire it or convert it to the home for other musicians looking to share their music, ideas and videos.
