Book Review: The Camel club

Hello fellow readers. In this review I am covering The Camel club by David Baldacci. What a great story of intrigue and government conspiracy all wrapped up in a well written book. Great characters and a plot that keeps moving and twisting as only a few master writers can do.

The club is led by a mysterious man who calls himself Oliver Stone. He appears to be a homeless conspiracy nut who has set up a tent in the park across from the White House with a sign that simply says “I want the Truth”. The club consists of four eccentric members who study conspiracy theories, and current events, of government to discover the “truth” behind the country’s actions. Their efforts for the most part bear little fruit until the group witnesses a shocking murder…and becomes embroiled in an astounding, far-reaching conspiracy.

The book is a true page turner and one I couldn’t put down. I am now reading the 2nd in the series of 5 books. All I will say about Oliver Stone is that he turns out to be much more than what he appears to be.

This is a real keeper and you can hardly go wrong with Mr. Baldacci.

On my must read scale of 1 don’t bother and 5 a true page turner. I give The Camel club a solid 5.

Until next time, keep reading and remember “Without music, life has no soul.”
