In this review, I am covering a book by one of my favorite writers David Baldacci named Saving Faith. Saving Faith is an intriguing story about a woman named Faith Lockhart that knows too much, and will tell too much and must die for it.
Our story opens in a secret room built-in the 1960’s deep underground originally built to shelter its occupants from a nuclear explosion. Now it’s being used for clandestine meetings of some of the most dangerous men in our government. To meet and plan the fate of people and our nation without the leaders of our government, even the president ever knowing. This group of men is led by Robert Thornhill one of the CIA’s most distinguished Cold War soldiers. They are here tonight to discuss the assignation of Faith Lockhart.
Cut to a secluded house not far from Washington, D.C., where the FBI is interviewing Faith. Unknown to Faith the FBI, Faith has been targeted to die here. But when a private investigator, hired to full her, steps in the assassination goes wrong, and an FBI agent is killed. In typical Baldacci fashion, the ride begins and what a ride it is. Full of, murder, intrigue, mystery and plot twist, this book is well written and captivating. It kept me up at night turning page after page.
On my scale of 1 to 5, 1 being don’t bother and 5 a real page turner, I give Saving Faith a solid 4. While the story was very captivating, I did find myself guessing of some scenes but it’s still a solid and fun read.
